Description
Headache of varying intensity, often recurring in similar form over a long period of time, usually accompanied or preceded by visual symptoms, often causing a throbbing sensation and accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to noise and light.
Explanation
This type of headache usually appears between the ages of 10 and 45 and although there is always a first occurrence, it tends to appear in a repetitive and very similar way throughout life, i.e. it usually establishes a pattern, most experts believe that it involves nerve pathways, release of chemicals with subsequent involvement of blood vessels and surrounding brain tissue. They can be hereditary and tend to affect women more than men.
